"Buttercup's mother scraped the stew leavings into a bowl. 'Here,' she said to her daughter. 'Westley's waiting by the back door; take him his dinner.'

Buttercup carried the bowl, opened the back door.

'Take it,' she said.

He nodded, accepted, started off to his tree stump to eat.

'I didn't excuse you, Farm Boy,' Buttercup began. He stopped, turned back to her. 'I don't like what you're doing with Horse. What you're not doing with Horse is more to the point. I want him cleaned. Tonight. I want his hoofs varnished. Tonight. I want his tail plaited and his ears massaged. This very evening. I want his stables spotless. Now. I want him glistening, and if it takes you all night, it takes you all night.'

'As you wish.'

She slammed the door and let him eat in darkness."

-Guy 1: "Crap! What the hell are we gonna do with all these giant useless guns we made?!"

-Guy 2: "I dunno . . . I guess we could make giant robots to use the giant guns."

-Guy 1: o___o . . . . GENIUS!!

And thus, Gundam Wing was born

You don't get to see this in the movie, but it happened in the book. She's ticked off because, though she hasn't realized it yet, she's in love with Westley and she thinks she has competition. Count Ruegan and his wife (yep, he was married) visited Buttercup's farm on the pretense of studying her father's cows, but really just wanting to see how beautiful Buttercup was. The Countess immediately became smitten with Westley (well, he was glistening and shirtless...) and Buttercup has created a fancy in her mind that Westley fell in love with the Countess and how can a dairy maid compete with aristocracy?

Of course, we have to take into account that Buttercup is only sixteen and not all that bright. The movie gives her a lot more credit and brains (which is why I like the movie a bit better)

Nice pic. I like the style. *OMGosh you should draw the whole 'it was a very green evening' where she keeps picturing him and the countess staring at one another*giggles and runs away*

I wanted to, but I couldn't quite figure out how to put it together. I love that scene!
